DEL with statement on the war in Ukraine
The game of champions and table leaders Eisbären Berlin against the Augsburg Panthers had been canceled due to a corona outbreak among the guests.
The clubs of the German Ice Hockey League commemorated the victims of Russia’s attack on Ukraine with a statement. The 15 teams “strongly condemn the events,” it said in a statement announced by the hall speakers at the venues. “Any form of acts of war are incompatible with our ethical values and those of sport. Our great concern is therefore for the local people, who currently have to live with the greatest worries.”
