The Eisbären Berlin suffered one defeat in the German Ice Hockey League after six wins.
The DEL leaders lost to the Schwenningen Wild Wings 2:3 (0:2, 2:0, 0:1) on Thursday (January 4th, 2024). Christopher Brown (58th) scored the winning goal for the guests shortly before the final siren.
The guests had already taken a quick 2-0 lead from the first third thanks to Boaz Bassen (5th) and Brown (9th). But the favorite came back into the game thanks to Zach Boychuk (30th) and Tobias Eder (39th).
Guest goalie Cody Brenner (38 saves, 95 percent blocked shots) prevented a deficit several times before Schwenningen was able to celebrate shortly before the end.
