DEL leaders in a mini crisis: Berlin loses against Ingolstadt – DEL – ice hockey

Bourque puts Ingolstadt in the lead

In front of 4,835 spectators in the arena at the Ostbahnhof, the polar bears dominated the game from the start, but found it difficult to create clear chances against the deep-lying and consistently defending guests. The Ingolstadt team took the lead in one of their few attempts: Christopher Bourque scored just before the first break.

After the restart, the Berliners kept trying, but still lacked precision in the build-up and finish. The guests were much more efficient and extended their lead with a power play hit by Justin Feser.

Only in the final section did the Berliners manage to overcome the Ingolstadt defense. Bokk and Boychuk equalized with their goals. The extra time remained goalless, in the penalty shoot-out David Warsofsky made the decision in favor of the guests.
