DEL: Berlin’s winning streak breaks – Krefeld goes down in the west duel – DEL – ice hockey

Augsburg acts purposefully

In front of 3,429 spectators in the Curt Frenzel Stadium, the Berliners struggled at the beginning and suffered a few unnecessary puck losses. The strong tackle hosts were more determined and used their chances consistently: Niklas Langer ensured the Augsburg lead, Jesse Graham extended the lead five seconds before the first break.

After the restart, the polar bears improved significantly, increased the pressure and scored a goal: Wiederer decisively deflected a long-range shot from Simon Després. After both teams missed numerous clear chances to score, Boychuk equalized in the final period when the Berliners played with a majority.

The Eisbären found no response to Augsburg’s third goal, scored by Scott Valentine after a counterattack, despite an attack in the final minutes.

Krefeld’s descent is getting closer

The Krefeld Pinguine lost 7-1 in their own hall on Tuesday evening against their direct competitor, the Iserlohn Roosters. With a point quotient of 1.13 and a gap of 0.06 points to the Schwenningen Wild Wings, Krefeld still has everything under control, but urgently needs points to prevent relegation.
