Red Bull Munich kicked off the 47th matchday in the German Ice Hockey League with an easy victory at Düsseldorfer EG.
The Munich team won 3-1 (2-0, 0-0, 1-1) at DEG on Saturday evening (February 17, 2024) and moved up to fourth place with 78 points.
The goals for the guests were scored by Veit Oswald (5th), Markus Eisenschmid (13th) and Austin Ortega (42nd). Philip Gogulla (52nd) only managed to make it 1:3.
DEG still has playoff chances
With 55 points, Düsseldorf is only one point behind tenth place, which still qualifies for participation in the playoffs.
About two hours before the start of the game, a fire alarm caused an uproar in the Düsseldorf Arena. The club was given the all-clear around 20 minutes later and the game could take place as normal.
