Deichmann appoints Alexander Bellin as Director for Digital/Online Business and Marketing.
Bellin will join the management of the Essen shoe retailer on February 1st, Deichmann announced on Thursday. He reports directly to Heinrich Deichmann, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director at Deichmann.
“We are pleased to have gained an experienced e-commerce expert for our company in Alexander Bellin. We are convinced that his know-how will enable us to establish the next growth stages in online retail and the necessary business excellence,” said Heinrich Deichmann. “In addition, we want to use the organizational change to significantly expand the cooperation between the digital and marketing areas and leverage synergies even more intensively.”

The 33-year-old Bellin is responsible for the expansion of digital competence and the further development of omnichannel concepts. The pandemic has driven the development of online and omnichannel business, which is why the individual areas are now being brought together under the leadership of Bellin.
Previously, he was Chief Revenue Officer at the Hamburg online retailer About You. Since the company was founded, he has “significantly driven the rapid expansion and built up a remarkable international online business there in recent years,” according to Essen.
“It is an honor for me to be able to contribute the experience I have gained in e-commerce and marketing for such a strong brand as Deichmann, in order to further expand the optimal shopping experience for customers, be it offline or online,” said Bellin
Sebastian Hasebrink, who was previously responsible for the digital area, “decided to leave the company and devote himself to new professional challenges,” says Deichmann. He will leave the retailer after a two-month transition period – after taking over from Bellin – at the end of March.
