Title defender Schulting at Games to final at 1000 meters
Suzanne Schulting can compete for a medal in the 1000 meters later on Friday at the Olympic Games. The Dutch title defender reached the final in the Capital Indoor Stadium.
Schulting was the first to cross the finish line in Beijing in the first semi-final, ahead of Belgium’s Hanne Desmet. Earlier in the day, Schulting had already set a world record in the quarterfinals. Schulting already won a silver medal in the 500 meters at these Games.
