Defender Ivo Pinto will remain associated with Fortuna Sittard until mid-2023. The 32-year-old Portuguese is definitively taken over from the Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb. There is also an option for an extra year in his contract.
Last season, Pinto played on a rental basis for the team from Sittard. He played 21 league matches and two cup matches.
During his career, the former youth international played for FC Porto, Boavista, CFR Cluj, Norwich City and Dinamo Zagreb. He played most games for Norwich City (95) and Dinamo Zagreb (120).
Fortuna ensured survival in the Eredivisie last Sunday.
