Defender Botman on his way to Newcastle United
Footballer Sven Botman is on his way to Newcastle United. Various media report that the English Premier League club has reached an agreement with Lille, the club of the Dutch central defender, for a transfer fee of allegedly 37 million euros.
According to some media, Botman has already verbally agreed and the player only needs to be medically examined. In addition to Newcastle, AC Milan was also interested in Botman.
The 22-year-old Botman exchanged Ajax for Lille in 2020. At the club, with which he became national champion in France in 2021, he played 79 official matches and scored three times.
