NAC Breda was unable to win from Feyenoord at the start of the new Eredivisie season. The Rotterdammers were 2-0 too strong on their own field.
NAC had a hard time in De Kuip. The team quickly fell behind and she was no longer able to turn that. Already in the third minute, Feyenoord captain Sem Steijn scored by shooting the ball from a free kick over the wall in the goal.
Soon after, NAC made himself heard for the first time. A commitment from newcomer Mohamed Nassoh did not go through a Feyenoorder. Sydney van Hooijdonk seemed to be successful after more than fifteen minutes of play. The striker got the ball after a counter in front of his feet and saw his bet disappear just next to the post.
Immediately after the break it was Feyenoordspits Ayase Ueda who made the second goal. He got the ball in the 55th minute after a blocked shot from Steijn at his feet and doubled the score: 2-0. NAC clearly failed and will have to take the points against less strong teams.
