Decorated cars from Veeningen also set Zuidwolde on stilts

The four works of art in Veeningen on Saturday morning may have been a symbol of the village’s resilience and decisiveness. Four inhabitants took part in the parade with a beautiful gold-coloured frame entitled ‘The Art of Veeningen’. They were representatives of VeFo, Con Amore, KC het Veldboeket and the jeu de boules club. “The art that all this still exists in Veeningen”, was added delicately.

The decorated wagons of Veeningen also turn Zuidwolde upside down, such as the wagon ‘Zuipschuit’. A vicious reference to all those Russian oligarchs’ superyachts. Photo: Artizzl Media / Peter Nefkens
