His signature is said to bring the striker around ten million euros a year. According to the Spanish media, Puma had offered the Norwegian eight million euros a year. How high Nike’s offer was is not known.
What is undisputed is that the Haaland commitment is a real coup for Adidas. The German company has been looking for a “new face” for a long time and has now found one. Alongside Kylian Mbappé, who is under contract with Nike, the Norwegian is considered the hottest stock in world football.
From BVB to Real? Reinier is already celebrating
Those in charge at Real Madrid should be particularly pleased with the choice of striker, as the Spanish record champions have been working with Adidas since 1998. In 2019, the contract was extended to 2028. Cost point: over 100 million euros per season.
