Serhou Guirassy has missed the last three competitive games due to a thigh muscle injury he sustained against Union Berlin. In the first eight Bundesliga games of the current season, the Guinea international scored an incredible 14 times. And as soon as the goal giant was missing, the Swabians made a mistake. First in a wild game against Hoffenheim (2:3), then in a no less wild game against their Swabian neighbors Heidenheim (0:2).
Report: VfB Stuttgart can rely on Guirassy
Now runner-up Borussia Dortmund awaits at the weekend. And as “Bild” writes, Guirassy should play against BVB. The paper reports that the 27-year-old received a go for the comeback. It was said that he could celebrate his return to the pitch at the home game against Dortmund.
On Monday, Guirassy trained on the VfB premises, doing intensive runs and exercises with and without the ball. According to “Bild”, this test was positive. The only thing that wasn’t on the agenda yet was scoring goals. If the attacker copes well with the strain, he could probably train with the team in the coming days and prepare for the Bundesliga clash at the weekend.
AC Milan makes Guirassy advance
It is more than questionable whether he can play from the start. Guirassy would probably be more of an option as a substitute.
Meanwhile, transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Italian club AC Milan have made a serious push for a Guirassy transfer in the winter. The striker could leave VfB for 17.5 million euros due to a release clause. Currently, saying goodbye in winter is considered unrealistic.
