A deceased person was found on the Hambroeksdijk between Gasselte and Gasselternijveen this evening around 6.40 p.m. near the T-junction with the Brandsdijk.
Several emergency services arrived on the scene, including the mobile medical team with the trauma helicopter, but assistance was no longer available.
Police forensics are also on the scene and are investigating the identity of the victim and the cause of death. During that investigation, the Hambroeksdijk will be closed to traffic.
