The police found a deceased person around 18:30 tonight in a house on Woldstraat in Meppel. The street was then closed off, and a forensic team carried out extensive investigations in and around the house. What exactly happened is not known. The cause of death is unclear.
The area around the house has been cordoned off to secure traces. The police also guard the house tonight.
