Slowly the hood of the mill comes up with a huge telescopic crane. A man in a yellow vest checks the tension of the lashing straps. Then the lifting can begin. “They estimate the weight at eight tons, it is only a small mill. Large ones weigh about 13 tons,” says miller Henk Wilms. When the top is on the grass a little later, the roof turns out to be even lighter than expected: 5500 kilos. “This is a toy for such a crane.”
