A fraudster who used a stolen card from his victim to pay at the end of last year has been captured on camera. The police are sharing camera images in the NH Bureau today in the hope of tracking him down. He leaves behind a lady of almost 90 years old from Castricum, who lives alone.
The lady from Castricum receives a phone call at the end of last year. The elderly lady, she is almost 90 years old, is terrified about burglars on the loose. According to a so-called ‘reliable bank employee’, the solution is to provide cash and then store it somewhere safe.
Washing machine
No sooner said than done. The woman gives him 800 euros in cash. The woman had specifically set aside that money to buy a new washing machine. But in reality the suspect does not store it in a safe or at the bank, but puts it in his own pocket.
The lady also hands in her debit card to him and gives him the corresponding code. This means that the card was withdrawn several times at ATMs in Amsterdam on December 9 last year.
Suspects?
The stolen bank card is used to debit several times, but the police doubt whether the same person is always visible in the images. It could therefore concern one or more suspects. In any case, one suspect who pins is wearing a Moncler jacket.
