The presidents of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and of the Valencian Community, Carlos Mazón, have said that today, when the processing of the Amnesty Law begins in Congress, is “sad” for Spain and for the Constitution. Ayuso has pointed out that “today is a bad day for Spain, for its democracy, for our institutions. The negative effects of this day will not stop being felt for a long time.” “The Congress of Deputies, as you know, is debating today the taking into consideration of the Amnesty Law agreed by (the President of the Government, Pedro) Sánchez with the pro-independence minority, with the sole objective of exchanging impunity for power, buying crimes to commit them disappear and do it with the money of all Spaniards,” Ayuso said.
