Death toll from floods in South Africa towards 450 | Abroad

Heavy rainfall over the previous weekend and the following days caused extensive damage to homes, roads and bridges in KwaZulu-Natal. The port city of Durban, with 3.5 million inhabitants, and the surrounding area were particularly hard hit. It was previously reported that nearly 41,000 people have been affected by the flooding. Tens of thousands of South Africans have become homeless.
