Many thousands of American soldiers who died in the Second World War have their final resting place at the honorary cemetery in Margraten. Thanks to one of those graves, Hans Schillings found the love of his life in Texas: Marcela. Their story illustrates the special bond between the South Limburg village and the American liberators.
