Singer MC Ride didn’t want to put up with the attacks any longer and ended the show.
US trio Death Grips canceled their show in Fayetteville, Arkansas, early after several glow sticks and cell phones were thrown at them.
In one Reddit post A concert-goer explains what exactly happened at the concert of the rap band led by singer MC Ride: “Someone threw a cell phone at them and Ride threw the microphone on the floor, ran away and came back. Someone threw a glow stick that hit him in the chest and he walked away, came back and waited for more. Another glow stick was thrown and they walked away. Fair is fair.”

A Death Grips follower also commented on the incident on X (ex-Twitter): “What’s wrong with people who behave like that? Bands are not robots and having stuff thrown at them hurts.”
The band itself did not comment further on the throwing attacks after the canceled show.
