The old four-legged friend went for a walk on Monday from the holiday address on Ameland. She was in the garden. But because she didn’t know the area, she soon lost her way. The owner called animal ambulance Ameland. Volunteers searched the area for Pip, but were unable to locate the elderly dog.
Very tired and hungry
Pip covered a lot of miles that day; Tuesday a hiker came across her in the dunes, no less than thirteen kilometers away from the holiday home. He tried to call the animal ambulance, but had no reach, the animal ambulance writes on Facebook. “Wim therefore climbed a dune and then we managed to make contact with us.”

The animal ambulance rushed to the spot. “When we arrived at the location, it turned out to be Pip,” says the animal ambulance. The animal was very tired, was very thirsty and was also hungry. But otherwise she was completely healthy: “We were able to make the worried owners very happy with the miraculous reunion with Pip”, according to the animal ambulance.
The owner is ‘eternally grateful’ to the walker. “Without this gentleman, she would have died there,” the owner said in a comment.
