The woman from Solingen was already found on September 28, but the police only managed to find out her identity eight months later. That happened after a cousin of the woman reported her missing to the German police on April 12. After that, it was only a matter of time before both cases – the missing person and the discovery of the body – came together, according to the Dutch police. The German police have assigned a detective team to the case. This “Mordkommission” works closely with the Dutch police.
