On the Oosterheerdtstraat in Leek, just across the border at Nietap, a deceased person was found on the street just after half past seven this morning.
According to the police, attempts were made to resuscitate the person, but to no avail.
The area has been cordoned off and police have placed privacy screens where the person is lying. It is a parking lot at an apartment complex.
Police are investigating the cause of death and the identity of the deceased person.
