Dead People 2023: These celebrities passed away in May

An incomplete overview of the personalities from music, film, art, culture, sports and politics who died in May 2023.

The month began with the unexpected death of M*A*S*H actress Eileen Saki, who passed away on April 1 of complications from cancer. Also on the same day we passed away singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot, who reportedly died of natural causes. Many music lovers were particularly hard hit by the death of soul legend Tina Turner on May 24th, as well as Spike Lee’s father, the musician Bill Lee. we had to say goodbye a day later.
