The police are investigating possible criminal Feuteb on the spot. The body was found in the flat about three hours after the fire broke out. Nothing has been announced yet about the identity of the victim.
Two residents of the flat and two firefighters were checked on site by ambulance personnel because they had inhaled smoke. One other fire brigade employee is to the hospital for a check -up. “This person was caught by the heat, but makes up for it under circumstances,” reports the safety region.
Unknown cause
The fire started shortly before 7 p.m. due to an unknown cause in a home on the third floor. When the fire alarm went off, a resident of another home left the building as quickly as possible, but he left a pan on the fire. This also created a second fire on the third floor, says a spokesperson for the Security Region.
Due to, among other things, the large number of homes and the considerable smoke development, ‘very large fire’ was quickly scaled up. Emergency services were massively on site at the flat. Fire brigade units from the Zaanstreek-Waterland and Kennemerland regions were called to help extinguish.
