The Dutch Safety Board is currently conducting an investigation at Ruigenoordweg in the Port of Amsterdam, where the ship was taken after the accident.
An accident took place on Wednesday evening on the tanker, which sails under the flag of Saudi Arabia, in which one person was killed and one person was seriously injured, the Dutch Safety Board reported on Twitter. Members of the investigation council and of the police were taken to the NCC SAFA by boat just before noon today, after which they boarded to start the investigation.
It is now clear that the accident took place off the coast of Egmond.
