Two people were killed and several seriously injured in a shooting at a nightclub in the Norwegian capital Oslo, police said.
During the night from Friday to Saturday, several shots were fired just outside the London Pub, a gay nightclub in central Oslo. An eyewitness told the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet that he heard “15 to 20 shots”, sparking panic and people running. The people stood before the shots were fired in the smoking area just outside the club.
Shortly after the incident, a person was arrested near the shooting, the police said, without giving further details. A reporter from the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK who was on the scene said a man took a weapon from a bag and started firing.
The London Pub is a gay nightclub famous in Norway. This weekend Pride will be celebrated in various places in Oslo.
