One person has been killed in an accident involving four cars on the A59 near Raamsdonk. Several people were also injured. The accident happened on Saturday night around a quarter to two (summer time).
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. The police report that ‘some injured people’ have been treated. It is not clear how serious the injured are. One of the cars caught fire after the accident.
Cause unclear
It is still unclear how the accident could happen. The A59 is closed between Waspik and the Hooipolder junction for investigation.
People who drove on the A59 near Raamsdonk between two and a quarter past two are urged by the police to contact them on 0900-8844.
