According to the statement made by the club, a 4-year contract was signed with the 43-year-old Italian coach.
De Zerbi, who attracted attention with his success as a coach in his country’s Sassuolo team since 2018, went to the Ukrainian representative Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2021.
De Zerbi, who led Shakhtar Donetsk to the championship in the 2021 Ukrainian Super Cup, left his post in July last year due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Brighton, which made a quick entry into the Premier League this season, is in the 4th place, 5 points away from the leader at the end of the 7th week, despite a game shortage.
