De Sutter: “Gradually more female senior civil servants, but candidacies are too often drawn up with men in mind”

Our federal government is still a man’s world, but we are gradually seeing more women among those top officials. Two years ago, 20 percent of senior civil servants were women, last year that share rose to 30 percent. This is evident from new figures from Vlerick. Women do better on the tests, according to Federal Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service Petra De Sutter, but still apply less for top jobs.
