De Sutter considers compromise on defense budget still possible: “Resources must be better spent”

Deputy Prime Minister Petra De Sutter (Green) thinks that a compromise can still be found within the government about the future defense budget. That’s what she says from Davos, Switzerland. “For decades we have let our defense dwindle and, like other countries, invested too little. Now we are suddenly in a new reality. Rebuilding the army is necessary,” said the deputy prime minister.
