The series of farewell concerts by De Dijk is getting longer. The group of singer Huub van der Lubbe will perform another farewell concert in the Ziggo Dome on September 23. According to De Dijk’s agency, this will really be the last date to be added to the series.
Ticket sales will start on Friday. The four previously announced shows on October 1, 2 and 3 are already sold out. These will be De Dijk’s last major concerts. The agent of the group says the demand for cards is high.
The Dijk frontman Huub van der Lubbe (69) announced last month that the band will stop after 41 years. The group, named after the Amsterdam Zeedijk, scored hits like Bleeding Heart† Can the lights be turned off and If she is not there† The group has won various prizes, such as the Zilveren Harp in 1987, the Golden Harp in 1993, the Edison Oeuvre Prize in 2005 and the Pop Prize in 2008.
