Prime Minister Alexander De Croo becomes temporary acting chairman of Open Vld. This was decided by the party board this morning. He will seek “a consensus figure” in the coming days. De Croo said yesterday that he is prepared to lead the party until a new chairman is appointed following the resignation of Egbert Lachaert. The PS then rejected that idea.
