In 2021, the provider then increased the price of its offer to 14.99 euros. In the meantime, however, subscribers have to dig deeper into their pockets, because DAZN raised the prices again in February 2022 for new customers and in August also for existing customers. Since then, users have had to pay a total of 29.99 euros per month for the monthly subscription. Almost old DAZN price thanks to campaign at the end of the year

Until December 31, DAZN is offering an annual subscription for EUR 19.99 per month instead of the usual EUR 24.99 as part of a year-end campaign. After the only short Christmas campaign, which is based on a DAZN voucher, which is only available at Amazon and Lidl was based, this offer is now more extensive. The new offer is now available directly from the DAZN page; According to DAZN, there is a total saving of 120 euros. That’s actually a bit cheated. Anyone who takes out the subscription at the new price cannot cancel the contract for a year – the reduced price applies for that long. From the second year, the fee increases again to the regular price of 29.99 euros for a monthly subscription. From then on, you can also cancel on a monthly basis. So you take out an annual subscription for at least the first year, so that the savings are still 60 euros.

In 2022, some streaming providers have raised their prices. However, the increase in DAZN was particularly high – here the monthly costs have doubled. The provider himself justified this with the expansion of the offer and the increased costs for licenses. “With the start of the 2021/22 season, the streaming provider has secured even more TV rights for the Bundesliga and the Champions League. DAZN thus offers the most comprehensive range of live sports that has ever been available from a single provider in Germany,” the provider said on its website. The decision was still annoying for customers and sports fans, and the outrage on the Internet was not long in coming.

The comments on the DAZN voucher campaign also reflect the annoyance of the time. Some users reacted to the discount via Twitter with incomprehension, when the streaming provider argued that the money was needed for the licenses.
