Daycare center De Sprankel closed for a week after arson and burglary

The perpetrator(s) set fire to a cot in the daycare center De Sprankel, which is located next to the Sint-Lodewijkscollege along the Gistelse Steenweg in Bruges.

The staff, parents and management are shocked. “In my 23 years as director, I have never experienced anything like this,” says Marc Slosse. “I wonder if such a person can sleep with a clear conscience? Setting fire to the most frail child… It is very incomprehensible to me.”

The police started an investigation. The school will work with the parents to find a solution.
