Day 4 (PGA Championship 2022)

19:14

Only 5 never over par

With Pereira, Fitzpatrick, the Mexican Abraham Ancer, Max Homa from the USA and the Australian Ryan Fox, only 5 golfers did not play a round over par in the course of the tournament. While the first 3 are at the top, Homa is only with 70-69-70 a shot under par and currently tied for 10th place. Fox played exactly par on all 3 days.

19:13

Birdie Rory

Rory Mcilroy, who was still in the lead after the first day and then ruined his chances of winning the third tournament with a score of 71 and 74 respectively, got off to a good start. Birdie on the 2 – maybe there is still a golf miracle after all.

19:10

Wiesberger on course

The second Austrian, Bernd Wiesberger, has completed the first half of today’s round and is even par after a birdie on the 5 and a bogey on the 8. Overall, he stays 3 shots over and tied for 33rd place.

19:05

Cream with a conciliatory finish

Jon Rahm, who’s been struggling with the course all week, is through as well. He noted 68 on his scorecard today and can at least look forward to a happy ending. It was his best of 4 rounds in Tulsa.

19:02

What to expect

We still have to be patient for 90 minutes until the top flight with Pereira and Fitzpatrick, the two start at 8:35 p.m. for the last lap in the Southern Hills. Meanwhile, the first golfers have already arrived at the clubhouse, such as the Austrian Sepp Straka, who finishes today’s round of 76 at +18.

19:00

The hunt begins

And so we start the last day of the PGA Championship 2022. Mito Pereira is the hunted man at 9 under and is sitting on a small cushion. 3 shots behind him are Matt Fitzpatrick and Will Zalatories, who can’t be happy with his 73 from yesterday.

Warm welcome
