The “swing low” described yesterday at 15,579 points has proven to be the expected springboard and thus the basis for a DAX® recovery. The stock barometer even tore a mini price gap at 15,805 points. We had defined the resistance zone from the high of August 24 at 15,897 points and the 50-day line (currently at 15,945 points) as the first recovery target, which was then promptly reached yesterday. The trend-following MACD acknowledges the recent price gains with a new buy signal – at the lowest level of the year. The indicator therefore provides additional tailwind. Beyond the above-mentioned smoothing, the high of August 10 at 16,060 points marks the next hurdle, especially since the upper Bollinger Band (16,066 points) is also currently running here. The small bottom formations in the charts of the Nasdaq-100® and the S&P 500® further improve the starting position. Nevertheless, with the DAX® also a look to the south: Here the above-mentioned mini-gap defines a first retreat mark before the “swing low” mentioned at the beginning represents further support. However, the lows at 15,469/15,456 points in connection with the 200-day line (currently at 15,427 points) are still of strategic importance.
