Today we review for you MISADVENTURES OF DOOMSCROLLER by Dawes, ENTERING HEAVEN ALIVE by Jack White and the new record HELLO, HI by Ty Segall.
Dawes are a bunch of hippies – you can hear that with the song “Everything Is Permanent” at the latest. But on their eighth album MISADVENTURES OF DOOMSCROLLER, the band from LA still tries to bring their transfigured view of the great past into the present.
Just three months after the jittery concept album FEAR OF THE DAWN, Jack White releases his next record ENTERING HEAVEN ALIVE. Instead of In contrast to the eclectic electro sounds of the previous album, ENTERING HEAVEN ALIVE is dominated by analogue acoustic arrangements and tones that are richer in tradition.
After his previous album HARMONISER, Ty Segall is taking it easy again with his new record HELLO, HI – with exceptions, of course. For the most part, though, the record sounds like it would Segall hanging out on the porch with the western guitar while pondering bitter and sweet thoughts about love.
