Davis Cup team with Greek track and Van de Zandschulp qualifies for Finals

The Dutch team with Noord-Hollanders Tallon groenpoor (Nieuw-Vennep) and Botic van de Zandschulp from Amsterdam has qualified for the Davis Cup Finals. Canada was defeated 3-0, so that the Netherlands could not miss the victory.

Van de Zandschulp dealt with Alexis Galarneau on Friday in two sets 7-5, 7-6 (after a tiebreak). Greek track later won 6-4 and 6-4 against Steven Diez. As a result, the score was 2-0 in favor of the Netherlands.

Saturday afternoon, the duo Wesley Koolhof and Matwe Middelkoop finished the job. They defeated Peter Polansky and Brayden Schnur in straight sets: 7-5, 6-3.

Finals

With the win, the Netherlands has qualified for the final tournament of the Davis Cup. The group stage of the tournament will be held from September 14 to 18, spanning four different cities. In 2019, the Netherlands participated in these Finals for the first time. The Orange then lost to Great Britain and Kazakhstan in Madrid.
