The Croatian tennis men have reached the semi-finals of the Davis Cup for the second time in a row. Last year’s finalist beat Spain after the singles in Málaga and meets Australia in the semi-finals.
Borna Coric put the Croatians ahead 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) against Roberto Bautista Agut. The 2014 US Open winner, Marin Cilic, then made the decision with 5: 7, 6: 3, 7: 6 (7: 5) against Pablo Carreno Busta. Australia had already qualified for the top four the day before.
The German team starts without the injured Olympic champion Alexander Zverev on November 24 (4 p.m. / Servus TV and DAZN) in the final round of the nations competition. Oscar Otte’s squad is a clear outsider against Canada.
