Davina Michelle and the Bankzitters: new Magnus Festival in Schagen strictly big names

At the beginning of June, big names such as Davina Michelle, the Bankzitters and Zoë Tauran will be on the stage of the first Magnus Festival at the skating rink in Schagen. The organization let us know. The two-day festival accommodates thousands of music lovers. “We have a varied program, including big pop names,” says organizer Dario Duineveld.

The skating rink at the Snevert in Schagen will be transformed into a large festival site during the weekend of June 8 and 9. It had been a big dream of event organizer Nico Gründmann for years. “He had been thinking about organizing a festival in Schagen for years,” says co-organizer Dario Duineveld. “We started it last year, but it took a very long time to get an agreement for the permits. That’s why we postponed it for a year.”

The plan is to divide the site with several stages and eateries. Duineveld: “It is a challenging site, with many dikes and light poles from the ice rink. It would never fit to put all the tents there. That is why we had to organize it differently. We will have a main stage (with decor, lighting and special effects) , An crossover stage and a party hut on Saturday. There is also a food tent and a second stage with 80s and 90s music.”

Young people

To visit the festival, you must be 16 years or older. But Saturday is aimed at the younger visitor, says Duineveld. “That day, popular YouTubers Bankzitters, TikTok star Zoë Tauran and rapper Bilal Wahib will come. Davina Michelle is on the program for Sunday.” Tribute bands and local artists also perform. On Saturday there is room for 5,000 visitors, on Sunday for 2,500 visitors. “Then one stage is closed.”

Who registers via the Magnus Festival website registers for the presale, you can buy tickets tomorrow from 1 p.m. Regular sales start tomorrow at 5 p.m.

On Sunday, June 9, there will also be 80s and 90s music, including from this Queen tribute band:
