“The magic continues” – this is how Real Sociedad San Sebastián announced on Friday the extension of David Silva’s previously expiring contract. The 36-year-old crowd favorite will also play for La Real next season, to which he switched in the summer of 2020 after ten years at Manchester City. In 56 games, the left foot scored three goals and prepared nine goals.
“David Silva is indispensable both on the field and in the dressing room and is a role model for younger players. David Silva will continue to wear our colors that suit him so well. His understanding of the game, his dribbling, his vision of the game and his assists will continue to amaze the La Real family. His football and magic will last at least one more season,” the statement said.
