Anyone who didn’t have the opportunity to see Dave Gilmour on his concert tour for his solo album “Luck And Strange” now has the chance with the live release “The Luck And Strange Concerts”.
The set contains 23 songs on 4LPs or 2CDs recorded at select shows on the tour. Solo tracks from Gilmour’s current album can be heard, including “Between Two Points” with Romany Gilmour, as well as Pink Floyd classics such as “Sorrow”, “Breathe (In The Air)”, “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortably Numb”.
The super deluxe edition of the album includes all formats as well as a 120-page hardcover book entitled DAVID GILMOUR LUCK AND STRANGE LIVE featuring Polly Samson’s photos taken on the tour.
The tour began with two warm-up concerts at the Brighton Center and then kicked off impressively with six evenings at the Circus Maximus in Rome (captured in a concert film that was also shown in IMAX cinemas). Afterwards we continued, among other things, to London’s Royal Albert Hall. One of the highlights of the tour was the stop in New York, where the musician and band performed for five evenings at Madison Square Garden.
Live At The Circus Maximus, Rome will also be released on Friday (October 17th) and will be released on 2 Blu-Ray and 3 DVD sets with unseen bonus material and the complete The Luck And Strange Concerts in 5.1 and Atmos (Blu-Ray only).
