James Gunn confirms the American actor as Henry Cavill’s replacement, while Rachel Brosnahan will be Lois Lane
James Gunn, Co-CEO of DC Studios, confirmed actor David Corenswet as the new lead in his film ‘Superman: Legacy’. Gunn, writer and director of the film, confirmed through Instagram that Corenswet will be the actor who will give life to the famous journalist and undercover superhero Clark Kent in the film whose premiere is scheduled for July 11, 2025. The film will be produced by Peter Safran, co-head of the studio with Gunn, and is part of the ‘Gods and Monsters’ project with which DC Studios intends to reboot the DC Comics universe, after a series of box office flops like ‘Black Adam’ and ‘Shazam!’. The director also announced that the actress Rachel Brosnahan will be the new Lois Lanea reporter for the Daily Planet and Kent’s main fictional love interest.
