Dave Grohl grilled for homeless people during the Super Bowl

In cooperation with a non-profit organization, he produced around 1,800 meals.

While many people sat on the sofa or in the stadium on Super Bowl Sunday and watched the NFL game, Dave Grohl used the time for something else. Together with friends, he spent over 24 hours grilling a total of over 100 sides of pork for homeless people, thereby providing 1,800 meals for people in need.

The most recent barbecue event

It wasn’t the first time the Foo Fighters guitarist grilled for a good cause. In the past he has with his company “Backbeat Barbecue” For example, large quantities of grilled food have already been prepared for fire stations and those in need. For his latest charitable campaign, Grohl has… “Hope the Mission”an organization dedicated to preventing, reducing and eliminating poverty, hunger and homelessness among individuals and families, and the Woodlands Family Shelter in Woodland Hills, California.

They were extremely grateful for the musician’s commitment and wrote on their Instagram account along with some insights into the day: “We are overwhelmed by Dave and the commitment of the Backbeat Barbecue team to help people in need. Dave Grohl on tour with the Foo Fighters

It remains to be seen whether Dave Grohl will have more time to get involved in charitable activities of this kind in the coming months. From May the artist will be on tour again with his band, the Foo Fighters. So far, concerts are scheduled until the end of August in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as some festivals in Europe.
