Chris Kuipers from Schagen is at his wit’s end. His two daughters aged 7 and 8 and his wife have been missing since Thursday. “I am very concerned because my wife’s condition is worrying. She is very confused and unpredictable,” Chris tells NH.
Chris still speaks of ‘my wife’, but the two live separately and the divorce hearing would be next Monday. He himself saw his daughters for the last time on Wednesday at the change between him and his wife.
According to Chris, witnesses saw his two daughters Janice (8) and Yenthe (7) get into a car around 11 p.m. on Thursday evening, without his wife. “It is suspected that my wife joined them later.” Chris’s wife was last active on WhatsApp at 11.40pm.
Serious concerns
Chris suspects that his future ex-wife is leaving for Spain with his daughters or has already left. “Wednesday evening she and the girls said goodbye to her group of acquaintances, a group of like-minded people. One of them informed me that the girls then said something along the lines of ‘we are going to Spain!’ said, whereupon mother admonished them to silence.”
This situation does not come as a surprise to Chris: “Last week I won a case in which the outcome is that the girls have to go to a regular primary school instead of home schooling.”
Powerlessness
Powerlessness is the emotion that predominates in Chris. He is very concerned about the health of his daughters, he says in a broken voice: “My wife’s condition is worrying, she is very confused and unpredictable.”

The police of Noord-Holland indicates that it is aware of the report. An investigation and search for the children is currently underway, but that has not yet led to anything. Chris has distributed a flyer on social media about the missing person. According to him, the girls are ‘cheerful, spontaneous, and love playing outside, swimming, and Minecraft.’ “Very standard, actually,” he adds.
