Noa Vahle, Linda de Mol’s daughter, is not happy with the way her left ear looks. She has an ear condition on the outer edge of her auricle. “It’s like Star Trek!”

Hélène Hendriks’ talk show had very Finger on the Pulse vibes last night. The presenter, who is missing a fingertip, asked her pupil Noa Vahle – Linda de Mol’s daughter – what she does not like about her body. And then her ear condition comes up: Darwin’s tubercleblessed with one of its own Wikipedia-page.

Darwin’s tubercle

Noa was born with a thickening on the outer edge of the auricle. Nowadays we mainly see this in monkeys; It is becoming less and less common in humans. It is a remnant from the time when our ancestors had pointy ears, which helps pick up sounds from the environment. That function has lost relevance among people.

In any case: Noa still has that bulge, so she can hear very well and is therefore hopefully not deaf to the fierce criticism that has been leveled at her lately. Unfortunately, she herself is not very happy with the shape of her ear. “The ugliest thing? I think I have some kind of funny thing on my left ear…”

Star Trek

Hélène fills it in for Noa. “You have to show that clearly. There’s a fluff?”

A fluff. Yes, of course we can just call it that. “There is some sort of thing,” Noa agrees.

Fellow guest Chris Woerts is completely shocked by it. “Star Trek!” he shouts, referring to those movie characters with those goofy, pointy ears.

Earlobes

On to the ears of Jack van Gelder (it was another substantive broadcast of De Oranjewinter). “I was once told, I never knew: my earlobes have grown together, so there is no slit in them. And I have normal continuous eyebrows. They said in Italy that it is really Sicilian, so I’m really just a mafioso,” he says.

Well, back to Noa. What is she happy with? “The most beautiful? No, yes, cliché, then I think my eyes or something. It’s also crazy when you now say: yes, I really have a good butt.”
