Data from millions of users of gay dating app Grindr has been for sale for years, the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal reports on the basis of insiders. That data, including data about their locations, was collected through an advertising network. The information has been for sale since at least 2017. Grindr itself says it ended the practice two years ago.
