The data was probably stolen through a vulnerability in the Android version of Twitter. The vulnerability was fixed in January.
The hackers claim that they have data from celebrities and large companies. Restore Privacy writes that the leaked information is genuine, but cannot confirm whether the hackers are selling data of famous people.
Twitter has not yet responded to the leak.
